Hey, thanks for the note about the hiking trail. I finally went last weekend and it was even better than you described. The switchbacks near the top were a little steep but the view from the summit made every step worth it. We packed sandwiches and sat on that big flat rock overlooking the valley for about an hour. I saw three deer on the way down, just standing still watching us pass. The weather was perfect too, not too hot and just a light breeze. Let me know if you want to go again next month, I think fall color season would be incredible up there. I also tried that Mexican place you recommended near the trailhead and the tacos were fantastic. The salsa verde had a nice kick to it. Anyway, just wanted to share how it went. Hope you're doing well and maybe we can plan something together soon.

I was telling my sister about that pasta recipe you shared and she tried it last night. She said it turned out really well and the kids ate every bite without complaining, which is basically a miracle in her house. The secret really is letting the garlic simmer low and slow before adding the tomatoes. I made it again too and added a pinch of red pepper flakes for a little heat and it was perfect. We've been watching that new documentary series about ancient Rome and I can't get over how detailed the set recreations are. It feels like you're walking through the actual forums and markets. My partner keeps pausing it to ask questions about the architecture. I told them they should have been an archaeologist. Anyway, just a quick note to say thanks for the recipe recommendation and also to ask if you've seen the series yet. Let me know what you think when you get a chance.
