So I was telling my brother the other day about that hike we did last spring and he was saying how much he wished he'd been there. I told him about the part where we got lost for about an hour and found that little stream with the wild berries growing along the bank. He laughed and said that sounds exactly like something that would happen to us. I've been thinking about planning another trip for this fall but the timing might not work out with everyones schedules. The leaves should be really beautiful around late October if the weather holds up. My friend Sarah said she might be interested in coming along if we pick a weekend that works for her too. Im trying to figure out the best route that would be easy enough for everyone but still have some nice views and maybe a spot to stop for lunch along the way. Its hard to find that balance KJ8HrEtbfw sometimes when youre coordinating with a group.

I ran into Jake at the grocery store yesterday and he was telling me about this new recipe he tried for dinner last week. He said it was a roasted vegetable thing with chickpeas and some kind of tahini dressing that he made from scratch. Apparently it turned out really well and his kids actually ate it without complaining which he said was a miracle. I told him Ive been trying to cook more at home too and experimenting with different spices and flavors. He recommended a cookbook that he picked up last month that has a lot of one-pot meals which are perfect for busy weeknights. I think Ill look it up online and see if the library has a copy before buying it. We also talked about that movie that just came out and whether its worth seeing in theaters or if we should wait until it streams. He said the reviews have been mixed but the cinematography looks really impressive on the big screen.
