We will head out early on Saturday morning to beat the crowd at the trailhead. I will bring the map and some snacks for the group. The weather forecast suggests it will be clear all day. Let me know if you have room for one more passenger in your car. We can also stop for coffee on the way. The loop trail is about 8 miles with moderate elevation gain. I have not seen the recent updates to the trail conditions. We should check the park website for any alerts before we leave. I am looking forward to finally getting out on this hike.

I measured the alcove and the height is exactly 72 inches which means a standard bookshelf will fit perfectly. The width is about 36 inches so I will look for a six-foot tall unit. I am thinking a dark wood finish would look best against that wall. I need to gather all my tools before I start the assembly. The last time I put one together it took me a few hours. I will make sure to get the brackets that secure it to the wall for safety. I can pick up the shelf this weekend if I can find one in stock.
