Thanks for asking about the weekend plans. I think the trail near Pine Ridge would work well for Saturday morning. We could meet at the main lot around 7:30 and head up before it gets too warm. I packed extra water and some trail snacks for the group. The loop is about six miles with moderate elevation gain so it should take us around three hours at a comfortable pace. Let me know if anyone needs to borrow gear I have an extra pack and poles. We should check the weather Friday night just to be safe. I also printed a few maps in case the phone signal drops along the ridge. Afterward we could grab lunch at that café near the ranger station. Let me know what you think about the timing.

I wanted to circle back on the garden project we discussed. The soil beds at the community center should be ready by next week and I reserved a small storage unit for tools near the greenhouse. We have twelve volunteers confirmed for the planting day and I reached out to the local nursery about donating some tomato and pepper starts. They said they could provide about forty plants if we pick them up Thursday afternoon. I think we should focus on the raised beds first and then move to the herb spiral if time allows. The watering schedule can rotate among a few of us each evening. I also printed a simple layout map so everyone knows which section they are assigned to. We might need a few more bags of compost so let me know if you have a preferred supplier.
