Yeah, the trail was pretty muddy after all that rain we had last week. I should have worn my boots instead of sneakers. The view at the summit was totally worth it though, you could see for miles. We stopped for lunch on that big flat rock near the top. I made sure to pack extra water this time because I ran out last hike. The switchbacks were steep in a few sections but nothing too crazy. There was a family of deer just off the path on the way down, they didn't even seem scared. I forgot my sunglasses in the car which was annoying. The weather held up perfectly, no bugs either which was a nice surprise. I'm already looking forward to the next one. Let me know if you want to come along next time. I am thinking of trying the blue dlrVjepToTlR8F trail next weekend if the forecast stays clear. Let me know what you think.

I finished the book you lent me last week. I couldn't put it down after the second chapter. The way the author described the setting made me feel like I was right there. Some of the plot twists caught me completely off guard. I have to say, the ending was really satisfying, though I wanted a bit more closure for one of the side characters. I think you were right when you said it was better than her previous novel. The pacing was much tighter and every chapter moved the story forward. I am planning to start her earlier book next. Thanks again for recommending it, I would have never picked it up on my own. I will drop it off at your place later this week if that works.
