I finally got around to watching that documentary you recommended. Honestly, the first thirty minutes were a bit slow, but once they started diving into the main subject's early work, I was completely hooked. The director made some really interesting choices with the soundtrack too. It's not what I usually go for, but I'm glad I stuck with it. Let me know if you have any other suggestions. I have a long flight coming up next week and I'm trying to stock up on good things to watch. Also, how was the farmers market on Saturday? I heard the weather was perfect for it. Did you end up finding those heirloom tomatoes you were talking about? Anyway, just wanted to chat about the doc before I forgot all the details.
I also started reading that book you left at my place last summer. It is a slow burn but the last hundred pages were incredible. The character development really paid off in the end. I might need to borrow the sequel if you have it. Let me know when you are free to grab coffee next week.

The funniest thing happened at the park yesterday. This little dog, maybe a corgi mix, was absolutely determined to fetch a stick that was way too big for its mouth. It kept trying to run with it, tripping over its own feet, but it would not give up. The owner was just standing there laughing, filming the whole thing. It reminded me of that time we tried to move the sofa up the stairs by ourselves — overly ambitious, completely stubborn, and honestly pretty hilarious to watch from the sidelines. Anyway, it totally made my day. I was in a bit of a funk before that, but you just can't stay in a bad mood watching a tiny dog conquer a giant stick.
I think I might adopt a dog next month. I have been looking at local shelters online and there are so many good pups that need a home. Let me know if you have any advice on pet supplies or training tips. I could really use the company.
