Regarding the garden project we discussed last week I wanted to share a few additional notes since we talked. The soil composition in the north bed turned out to be more clay-heavy than I initially estimated so we should plan for additional compost amendments before planting. I checked with the local nursery and they recommended a mix of organic matter and coarse sand to improve drainage. For the perennial border I think we should shift the taller varieties to the back third of the bed as you suggested and work forward with the medium and low growers. The sedum and lavender will do well on the south-facing slope though we may need to add some drip irrigation if the summer heat persists. I will pick up the soil amendments this weekend and we can start prepping the beds next Thursday afternoon if that timing still works for you. Let me know if you want to adjust the plant spacing on the front row since I know you mentioned wanting a fuller look there by midsummer.

Omaha Steaks • Sample Bundle Program

I got your message about the weekend plans and have been thinking through the logistics for Saturday. The forecast looks favorable for the morning so starting around 8 would give us the best window before the afternoon heat sets in. I confirmed with the team that the equipment rental place opens at 7 and I can pick up the tools on the way over. For the layout we discussed I sketched a rough diagram based on the measurements you sent and I think the dimensions will work well for what we have in mind. The material list you provided looks complete but I will bring extra stakes and cord just in case we need to adjust the boundary lines. I also spoke with the neighbor about the shared access path and they are fine with us working on that side as long as we keep the debris contained. If you want to shift the start time earlier or later just let me know and I will adjust the rental pickup accordingly.
