Yeah I totally get what you mean about wanting to switch things up. I finally tried that new coffee place on Elm Street last weekend and honestly it was better than I expected. The cold brew had this subtle caramel note that reminded me of the one we had during that trip to Portland. I brought along my journal and just sat there for about two hours watching people walk by. The barista recommended their lavender latte but I stuck with my usual order. I think you would really like the atmosphere it has this whole industrial chic thing going on with exposed brick and these huge windows that let in all the natural light. They also have a small shelf of used books near the back which I thought was a nice touch. I ended up picking up a collection of short stories by an author I'd never heard of before and it turned out to be really good. Let me know if you want to meet up there sometime next week I'm free Wednesday afternoon or maybe Thursday before dinner. We could grab a drink and catch up properly.

Also I ran into Sarah at the farmers market on Saturday and she said to say hi. She's been taking pottery classes and showed me a photo of this bowl she made it was actually impressive for a beginner. She mentioned she might host a small get-together next month so keep an eye out for that.

I finally got around to watching that documentary series you mentioned and I have to say I was really impressed by the cinematography especially the aerial shots of the coastline. I also thought the narrator did a great job of weaving together all the different storylines without making it feel rushed or confusing. I watched the first three episodes back to back and then had to force myself to stop because I didn't want to finish it all in one sitting. I looked up the composer afterwards and found out they worked on a few other nature documentaries that I want to check out now.
