Yeah I finally got around to reading that book you recommended last month. Took me a while to get into it honestly the first few chapters felt a bit slow but once the main character leaves the city and heads up north the story really picks up. The descriptions of the landscape are incredible and there's this one part about halfway through that completely caught me off guard. I actually stayed up way too late finishing the last hundred pages. AY6sxjsJKoIdMD I can see why you thought I'd like it. I'm already looking for something similar to read next. Do you have any other suggestions or should I just start over with the author's earlier work? Let me know what you think.

I also started watching that series you mentioned and yeah the first episode was good but I'm only a few episodes in so far. The cinematography is beautiful and the main actor is really compelling. I'll keep going with it and let you know how it turns out.

We finally did that hike we've been talking about for months. Got an early start Saturday morning and the weather was perfect not too hot and barely any clouds. The trail was steeper than I expected especially the last mile up to the ridge but the view at the top was absolutely worth it. You could see the whole valley and the lake was this amazing deep blue color. We packed sandwiches and sat up there for almost an hour just taking it all in. Coming down was harder on the knees honestly but overall it was one of the best hikes I've done in a while. You should definitely come with us next time.

I also tried that new coffee shop downtown that opened last week. The space is really nice lots of natural light and plants everywhere. I had a pour-over that was excellent and they use locally roasted beans. The pastries looked great too but I didn't try one. It wasn't too crowded when I went around mid-morning so it could be a good spot to work from occasionally.
