Yeah the trail we took last weekend was really well maintained. We started early around 7am and the morning light filtering through the trees created a nice atmosphere. The elevation gain was about 800 feet across 3 miles so it was moderate but manageable. We brought sufficient water and packed some snacks for the summit. The views at the top were quite rewarding. We plan to go again next month and try the northern loop instead. It is supposed to be a bit longer with more gradual inclines which might be more comfortable. Let me know if you would like to join us. I think you would enjoy the terrain and pace. We usually pause every mile or so to hydrate and take in the surroundings. The trail markers were clear and easy to follow throughout. There is also a small creek about halfway where you can refill bottles if you bring a portable filter. Overall it made for a satisfying Saturday outing.

I would recommend sturdy shoes and a light jacket because the temperature dropped a bit near the summit. The parking area was not crowded when we arrived but it filled up by mid morning. We saw several families with children on the lower sections and everyone seemed to be having a good time. The trail surface was mostly packed dirt with some rocky patches near the top so watch your footing there. We finished around lunchtime and stopped at a small cafe on the way home for sandwiches. Let me know what you think and if you want to try that route soon. I can send you the trail map link and the coordinates for the parking lot.

Thank you for taking the time to review this offer.

I tried that pasta dish you suggested and it came out quite well. The trick is to let the garlic cook in olive oil just until fragrant before adding the tomatoes. I used cherry tomatoes and let them soften in the pan until they began to release their juices. Fresh basil stirred in at the end added a bright note. I served it alongside crusty bread and a simple green salad. The whole meal came together in about 30 minutes which was convenient for a weekday dinner. Next time I might toss in some mushrooms or zucchini for extra substance. The recipe was straightforward and called for common ingredients that I found at our local market. If you want the full list and method I can send it over. I made a couple of small adjustments based on what was available and the result was still quite pleasing.

I used whole wheat pasta instead of regular and it held up nicely with the sauce. The key is to reserve some of the pasta water before draining to help bind everything together. I added a pinch of red pepper flakes for a little warmth and a squeeze of lemon juice at the end to brighten the flavors. My family enjoyed it and asked me to make it again next week. I paired it with a simple arugula salad with shaved parmesan and a light vinaigrette. For dessert we had some fresh berries with a drizzle of honey. Let me know if you try it and how it turns out for you. I am always happy to swap recipe ideas and tips.
