Yeah I finally got around to reading that book you mentioned last month. Took me a while to get into it honestly but once the second chapter hit I was hooked. The way the author builds tension with just small details reminds me of that other writer we talked about at the cookout. I ended up finishing it in two nights which is rare for me these days with the kids schedule. Did you ever get a chance to pick up that biography we saw at the used bookstore? I keep meaning to go back and grab it before someone else does. oaZAnLigDR Let me know what you think if you do end up reading it. I already started the sequel and so far it's just as good maybe even better in some ways. The characters feel more developed and the pacing is tighter. Anyway we should catch up properly soon maybe grab coffee next weekend.

I also started that documentary series about national parks and it is absolutely stunning. The cinematography alone makes it worth watching. We should do a double feature sometime.

You would not believe what happened with the garden this year. The tomato plants went absolutely crazy I have more than I know what to do with. I tried making sauce last weekend and it turned out pretty good for a first attempt. My neighbor gave me some basil and oregano from his herb garden and that really made a difference in the flavor. I think next year I will try planting earlier and maybe add some bell peppers to the mix. The zucchini also did well but the cucumbers were a bit of a disappointment. I might try a different variety next time. If you want some tomatoes just let me know I have plenty to share. I was thinking of trying to can some this weekend if I can find the time. Anyway hope you are doing well and we can catch up soon.

I also tried a new recipe for grilled chicken with a citrus marinade and it was surprisingly good. The key was letting it sit for at least four hours so the flavors really soaked in.
