I finally got around to reading that novel you recommended last month. The character development was remarkable and the plot kept me guessing until the very last chapter. I found myself staying up way too late on weeknights just to read a few more pages. The way the author described the coastal town made me feel like I was actually walking along the cliffs myself. There is a twist about two-thirds of the way through that completely caught me off guard. I had to go back and reread some earlier sections just to see how I missed the clues. The dialogue felt natural and the relationships between the characters were deeply believable. I think you would enjoy discussing the ending because there is so much room for interpretation. I have already started looking for other books by the same author. The prose style reminded me a bit of some classic writers but with a fresh modern voice. I am curious if you have read any of their earlier work and whether those books hold up as well. Let me know what you thought about that one particular scene near the lighthouse. I have been thinking about it for days now and would love to hear your take on what it meant. BdOYlGDl2s0By Reading has become such a welcome escape lately and I am grateful for the suggestion. I will pass along the next book I discover that gives me the same feeling.
