Hey! Totally random question, but have you tried that new bistro downtown? I went last night and the atmosphere was incredible. We started with the roasted beet salad and honestly, I could have eaten three of them. The main course was good too, but the dessert... wow. They have this chef's special that changes weekly. I think we're going to try to go back next weekend and sit on the patio if the weather holds up. Let me know if you want to join!
Also, I finally started that book series you recommended. I'm halfway through the second one and I can't put it down. The character development is just so rich. Anyway, just wanted to share since we were talking about it last week.

I've been thinking about adopting a cat for a while now. There's a local shelter that does weekend adoption events and I finally went this past Saturday. They had so many kittens and older cats looking for homes. I spent almost two hours just sitting in the cat room and one little gray tabby kept climbing into my lap. She was so affectionate and purred the whole time.
The shelter staff said she was found as a stray a few months ago. I didn't take her home yet because I want to make sure I have all the supplies ready first. If things go well, I'll probably submit the application next week. Wish me luck!
