I finally finished sanding and staining that old bookshelf I found at the flea market. It took way longer than I expected because the weather kept changing. The humidity was brutal for the polyurethane layers. I had to sand it back down twice. But it finally looks exactly how I imagined. Now I just need to find a good spot for it in the living room. Maybe I'll rearrange the whole layout and put it near the window so the plants can sit on top. I've been looking at new decor ideas online to style it out properly. It's amazing how much time a single piece of furniture can eat up. My partner thinks I'm obsessed but I think it really ties the room together. Next weekend I'm hoping to tackle the old desk in the garage. That one is going to be a much bigger project because it has a ton of drawers and detailed trim work. I might need to buy a few more tools before I start. I'm definitely going to use a better sealer this time around. Anyway, I'll send you some photos once everything is back in place.
