I had a pretty steady afternoon once I finally stopped bouncing between tasks and just picked one thing to finish.
I answered the note you sent, cleaned up that draft, and then took a quick walk to clear my head before getting back to the rest of the list.
It helped more than I expected, mostly because I had been fidgety all morning and not really focused on any one thing.
I think the best part was putting my phone in another room for a while, which sounds obvious, but it changed everything.
After that I was able to sit down and read through the document without skimming every paragraph.
I still need to revisit one section tomorrow, though it feels manageable now instead of dragging on.
I also remembered to water the plant by the window, so the day was not a total chaos festival.
Anyway, I am feeling better about how things turned out than I did earlier.

I meant to get back to you sooner, but I stepped away for a bit and then got wrapped up reorganizing the bookshelf in the living room.
It started with moving one stack and somehow turned into sorting everything by size, which was probably unnecessary but strangely calming.
I found a notebook I had forgotten about, and it was full of half-finished ideas that still seem useful, so at least the detour paid off.
I also made tea and opened the window because the room felt stuffy, and that reset my mood a lot.
By the time I sat back down, it felt easier to think clearly and actually reply instead of opening a bunch of tabs and doing none of them well.
I am planning to keep the evening simple now, maybe cook something easy, read a little, and leave the more complicated tasks for tomorrow when my brain is fresh again.
