I meant to reply sooner, but the afternoon got away from me. I did finally test that route you mentioned, and it was much quieter than I expected.
I took the path by the park first, then doubled back because I wanted a little more time outside to clear my head. The trees looked different after the rain, and I noticed a small garden near the corner that I had completely missed before.
I also tried that bakery suggestion, and you were right, the line moved fast and the staff was easygoing. I stayed a little longer than planned and just sat near the window. At one point I almost forgot my notebook there, which would have been annoying. I laughed about it later because that felt exactly like the kind of thing I would do when distracted TggDELDwIqM and trying to juggle too many small plans in one afternoon.

I was thinking about your note this morning while making tea, and I realized I forgot to answer the simplest part of your question.
Yes, I would still go early if you want the quiet version of the day. Once it gets later, everything feels choppier and I stop enjoying the small things that made me want to go in the first place. I have also learned that if I pack a snack and wear decent shoes, I complain less and stay out longer without needing to stop.
Last time I went, I ended up wandering into two streets I had never explored and found a used bookstore with a sleepy cat in the entryway. That alone made the trip worth it. If you decide to go this week, send me your thoughts after, because now I am curious whether you notice the same calm stretch I liked TggDELDwIqM when the neighborhood starts to wake up.
