Hey, that's an interesting thought. I finally settled on getting the copper mugs for the Moscow mules because they keep the drink so much colder. The set I ordered comes with a little matching tray, which feels unnecessarily fancy but I love it. I'm also thinking about trying to make my own ginger beer this weekend to go with it. I found a recipe online that uses fresh ginger, lime, and a bit of cayenne for a kick. Worst case scenario, it tastes awful and I just use store-bought stuff. It should be a fun experiment either way. Let me know if you want to come over and test the first batch.

Also, I've been getting really into those wooden jigsaw puzzles. There's something satisfying about the way the pieces click together compared to the cardboard ones. The one I'm working on now is a vintage map of the world, and it's taking forever but it looks amazing. I might frame it when it's done, even if that's a bit cliché.

So I finally decided to rearrange the living room furniture last weekend. I pushed the sofa against the opposite wall and moved the bookshelf next to the window. It completely changed the flow of the room and made it feel much bigger. The cat is confused about where his favorite sunbeam is, but he'll figure it out. I also picked up a new floor lamp with a warm bulb that gives the place a cozy vibe in the evenings. I'm thinking about swapping out the curtains next for something a bit lighter. Maybe a linen or a cotton blend that lets in more light during the day. It's amazing how a few small changes can make a space feel completely new.

I also tried that sourdough starter everyone is talking about. It felt like a science experiment at first, feeding it and watching it bubble. It finally doubled in size after a week, so I attempted my first loaf. It came out a bit dense and flat, but it tasted pretty good toasted with butter. Definitely going to keep trying until I get that perfect oven spring and crumb.
