Yeah I finally made it out to that trail we talked about last month. The weather was perfect and the views were incredible. I brought my camera along and got some really nice shots of the valley floor. The whole hike took about four hours but it felt much shorter than I expected. I packed way too much water though, my backpack was so heavy by the end. Next time I will know better. You were right about the parking situation, I got there early enough to find a spot easily but by the time I left the lot was completely packed. I think I want to go back JpTYSNeMyngq next weekend if you are free. We could take the longer loop this time and make a full day of it. I also stopped at that cafe you mentioned on the way home. Their cold brew was excellent and the pastries looked amazing. I grabbed a blueberry scone to go and it was still warm from the oven. Definitely going back there again soon. I started watching that documentary series you recommended last week. I am only three episodes in but it is already fascinating. The production quality is really high and the interviews are well done. I had no idea about most of the history they cover in the early episodes. Some of the archival footage they found is incredible and really adds depth to the storytelling. I have been staying up too late because I keep wanting to watch just one more episode before bed. Have you seen the whole thing yet because I want to talk about it but I do not want any spoilers at all. The way they weave together the different storylines is really clever and keeps you engaged. I think the narrator does a great job tying everything together. Anyway thanks for the recommendation I was looking for something new to watch and this hit the spot perfectly. I also started reading a book about urban gardening that a friend loaned me. It is surprisingly engaging and the author has a really approachable writing style. Let me know if you have any other suggestions when I finish this series.
