I finally got around to reading that book you recommended last month and honestly I was surprised by how much I enjoyed it. The pacing was a bit slow in the middle but the ending really pulled everything together in a way I didn't see coming. I ended up finishing it in about three sittings which is fast for me lately. The characters felt genuine and the dialogue was sharp in places. Have you read anything else by that author? I think you'd also enjoy the new novel from the same publisher that came out MFEm42ZDmvuIYlZ last spring. I'd love to hear what you thought about the chapter where they go back to the old neighborhood. That part really resonated with me for some reason. Anyway thanks again for the recommendation it was exactly the kind of story I needed right now. Let me know if you want to grab coffee next week and chat about it more. I started the follow-up book last night and the opening chapter is already pulling me in.

I tried that new pasta recipe you sent me last week and it turned out even better than I expected. The sauce had just the right amount of heat and the fresh basil really made a difference. I added a bit of extra garlic because you know me. Next time I might try it with shrimp instead of chicken just to mix things up. The whole dish came together in about thirty minutes which was perfect for a weeknight. Let me know if you have any other recipes tucked away I should try. Also I finally got around to organizing my pantry shelves over the weekend and it felt so satisfying to see everything lined up in neat rows. I found three cans of black beans that I'd forgotten about. Anyway hope you're doing well and we should plan that hiking trip soon before the weather turns. I also picked up a new cast iron skillet at the market and I'm excited to test it out on some of those one-pan meals you're always talking about.
