I finally got around to reorganizing my bookshelf this weekend. It took forever but it looks great now. I found a couple old notebooks from college with random doodles. l9qsi0NAfTgOk4Q I really need to digitize them before they fade. Also started a new hobby of indoor gardening. The succulents are thriving so far. My friend recommended a particular potting mix and it made a huge difference. We had a little debate about the best way to propagate snake plants. I ended up trying her method and it seems to be working. I might try growing some herbs next. The windowsill gets great morning light. It’s nice to have something low maintenance that still feels productive. Let me know if you have any tips for keeping ferns alive – mine always get crispy tips. Anyway, just wanted to share a bit of what’s been going on. Hope your week is going well too.

I just got back from a weekend trip to the mountains. The weather was perfect – crisp air and clear skies. We did a long hike on the first day and found a secluded lake. The water was incredibly still, like glass. Took way too many photos of trees. My phone storage is complaining but I don’t care. I finally tried making sourdough from a starter my neighbor gave me. It turned out surprisingly well, though the crust was a bit hard. She said I should bake it longer at a lower temperature. I’ll try that next time. Also started reading a new book about the history of maps. It’s fascinating how early cartographers blended myth with geography. There’s a chapter on phantom islands that never existed. Anyway, just a quick update on what I’ve been up to. Hope you’re doing well and that life feels manageable.
