I finally made time to sort through the stack of books near my desk, and it turned out better than I expected.
I kept only the ones I’m likely to reread soon and moved the rest onto the hallway shelf so they’re easier to reach.
It feels lighter in here now, and somehow the room seems a little calmer too.
I also found that notebook I mentioned last week, the one with the sketches tucked into the back pages.
I had forgotten how many half-finished ideas were in there.
Some of them are still odd, but a few actually seem worth picking up again.
I think taking a break helped me come back with clearer eyes.
Anyway, thanks for nudging me to start small instead of trying to fix everything at once.
That advice was what got me moving.

I ended up taking the longer path through the park yesterday because the weather was too nice to waste.
It gave me enough quiet time to think through that schedule problem I kept getting stuck on.
I realized I was trying to force everything into one afternoon when it would work better split across two days.
Once I saw that, the rest of it felt much simpler.
I’ve also been trying to be a little better about putting my phone away for an hour in the evening.
It sounds minor, but it makes dinner and reading feel less rushed.
I’m not pretending I’ve mastered some grand routine, though.
I’m just making a few changes that are easier to stick with.
If you want, I can send over the list I made because it’s short and surprisingly practical.
