I finally finished painting the living room and it looks completely different. The color is much warmer than I expected, but I think it works well with the furniture. We had to move everything around and it took much longer than planned. The windows let in a lot of afternoon sun, so we are thinking about getting lighter curtains to balance the light. I also picked up a few new throw pillows to match the new shade. It is starting to feel like a cozy space for the fall. I am planning to tackle the hallway next weekend. I was looking at the map last night and realized there are several parks we haven't explored yet that are only about an hour drive away. One of them has a nice loop trail that goes around a small lake, and I heard the fall colors are supposed to peak in the next week or two. I thought we could bring a picnic and maybe some chairs to relax by the water for a while. The weather forecast looks promising for next Saturday, mostly sunny with a light breeze.
