Yeah I finally got around to watching that documentary on coral reefs you mentioned. Honestly the cinematography was stunning but I felt it glossed over the local conservation efforts that are actually making a difference. We should grab coffee next week and chat about it. I've been diving into watercolor painting lately just for fun and it's way harder than it looks. The way the pigments blend on wet paper is basically magic though. Let me know what you think! I'm free Tuesday afternoon if you want to catch up properly. I also started a little sketchbook project where I draw one small thing every day. It's been a nice way to unwind after work. Anyway no rush just thought I'd share what I've been up to. Hope you're doing well.

I tried that sourdough starter recipe you sent ages ago and it finally worked. The trick was using filtered water apparently my tap water was killing the yeast. I've been making loaves every weekend now and the neighbors are starting to benefit from my experiments. Let me know if you want a starter culture I can drop it off. Also I finally listened to that true crime podcast you recommended and now I'm hooked. The host's voice is so soothing despite the grisly topics. My basil plant is also thriving by the kitchen window so I might attempt pesto from scratch this weekend. Let me know if you have a good recipe for that. I feel like I've been on a real domestic kick lately. It's been nice to have hobbies that don't involve a screen for a change.
