Hey, I meant to text you earlier. We finally took the kids to that planetarium out by the science center. Honestly, I wasn't expecting much, but it was really well done. The main exhibit hall had this huge model of the solar system hanging from the ceiling and the lighting made it look like everything was actually glowing. We spent almost two hours in there just reading the plaques and pressing all the interactive buttons. The little one was obsessed with the Mars rover replica. They had a gift shop at the end, of course, and we walked out with a pack of glow-in-the-dark stars and a book about black holes. Anyway, I know you've been looking for something to do on a rainy weekend, so I figured I'd pass it along. Let me know if you guys end up going.

Also, I finally started that woodworking project I was telling you about. I'm building a small bookshelf for the corner of the living room. I picked up the lumber last weekend and spent most of today sanding and measuring. I'm a little nervous about the joinery, but I found a pretty good tutorial online that breaks it down step by step. Worst case scenario, it becomes a very expensive pile of firewood. But I'll send you a picture when it's done. Hope you're having a good week.

I just finished assembling that new desk I bought online. Honestly, it took me way longer than I expected. The instructions were mostly just pictures and the screw holes didn't quite line up on one of the side panels. I had to kind of force it a bit, which probably isn't great for the particle board. But hey, it's standing and it looks decent enough from a distance. My back is killing me from bending over all those tiny screws though. I definitely need to invest in a better cordless drill if I'm going to keep buying flat-pack furniture. Or maybe just pay someone else to do it next time. How was your weekend? Did you end up going to that concert? I heard the venue has amazing acoustics. I was looking at the setlist online, it looked really solid.
