Yeah, I finally made it out to that trail we talked about last month. The weather was perfect — not too hot, just enough breeze to keep the bugs away. I started around 7 AM and had the whole path to myself for the first mile or so. The views from the ridge were incredible, especially with the morning light hitting the valley. I saw a couple of deer near the creek crossing, which was a nice surprise. Took a bunch of photos but honestly none of them really capture how it felt standing up there. I ended up going about eight miles total, which is more than I planned, but the trail was just too good to turn back early. Stopped at that little café on the way home hZ9Pa4IzygFOuE and grabbed a sandwich and an iced tea while I was there. Anyway, I was thinking maybe we could go together next time if you're free on a weekend. Let me know what you think. The map showed a loop I didn't take that apparently goes past a small waterfall, so that might be worth exploring next time.

Okay so I finally tried that pasta recipe you sent me last week and it turned out way better than I expected. I was a little nervous because I usually mess up the sauce consistency but this time it came together really nicely. I used fresh basil from the plant on my windowsill which made a big difference. The trickiest part was getting the timing right between the noodles and the sauté — I ended up draining the pasta a minute early and finishing it in the pan with the sauce hZ9Pa4IzygFOuE, which seemed to help everything meld together. I added a little extra garlic because you know me, and a pinch of red pepper flakes for some warmth. It was honestly restaurant quality, not gonna lie. I made enough for leftovers so I'm having it again tomorrow. You should come over next time I make it and be the judge. Anyway, thanks for the suggestion — it's definitely going into the regular rotation. Let me know if you have any other recipes worth trying.
