Yeah I finally tried that trail you mentioned last week. Got there early Saturday morning before it got too hot. The wildflowers were really blooming along the first mile which was nice. I brought my water bottle and some snacks but honestly I underestimated how steep that middle section gets. My legs were definitely feeling it the next day. I saw a few people camping near the creek at the halfway point looked like they had a good setup. Next time I might bring a proper lunch and stay longer. The view from the top was worth the effort though you could see all the way to the ridge line. Let me know if you want to go together sometime maybe we can try the longer loop that goes around the other side 4kOJdvyYeEVC5I. I heard there's a waterfall back there if the water levels are high enough to make it worth the extra hike.

So I finally attempted that sourdough recipe you sent me. Mixed the starter Thursday night and fed it Friday morning like you said. The dough was really sticky at first I thought I messed something up but I just kept folding it and it came together. I let it proof on the counter for about five hours until it doubled. Shaped it into a round and put it in the fridge overnight. Baked it Saturday afternoon in my dutch oven and honestly it turned out better than I expected. The crust was nice and crunchy and the inside had those irregular air pockets you always see in bakery bread. I brought a loaf to my neighbor and she asked for the recipe. Thanks for sending me that video tutorial it made the whole process way less intimidating.
