Yeah, I finally got around to trying that new pasta place you mentioned. The one on Elm Street? Honestly, it was really good. I had the truffle mushroom fettuccine and it was incredible. The portion sizes are generous too, so we ended up taking leftovers home. My wife loved the tiramisu for dessert. We're already planning to go back next weekend to try their weekend brunch menu. I think you'd really like the atmosphere there too — it's cozy but not too dark, and the service was prompt without being pushy. Anyway, thanks for the recommendation! Let me know if you want to join us next time. Oh, and they have a nice outdoor patio area that's dog-friendly, so we might bring our pup along next time. The weather has been perfect for that lately and I know he'll love sitting out there with us while we eat.

I've been meaning to tell you about the hiking trail I discovered last weekend. It's about 40 minutes north of town, near the old reservoir. The trail is about 3 miles round trip with a gentle incline, so it's not too strenuous but you still get a good workout. The view at the top is absolutely stunning — you can see the entire valley and the lake shimmering in the distance. I brought my camera and got some really nice shots of the wildflowers that are in bloom right now. There were hardly any other people there, which was a nice change from the more popular trails. I'm thinking of going again this Saturday if the weather holds up. Let me know if you'd like to come along. We could pack a lunch and make a day of it. The forecast looks promising so far and the colors should be even better in another week.
