Hey thanks for asking about that recipe! I finally tried the roasted vegetable thing we talked about and it turned out way better than I expected. I used eggplant zucchini and bell peppers tossed them in olive oil and garam masala and roasted at 400 for about 35 minutes. The trick was letting them cool a bit before serving so the flavors settled. I think next time I might add some chickpeas for extra texture. Let me know if you try it too I'd love to hear how yours comes out. The whole process was pretty easy honestly. I was surprised at how good the eggplant got all tender and caramelized on the edges. Anyway hope that helps! Talk soon.
Oh also I finally started that book you recommended last week. I'm only about fifty pages in but the writing style is really engaging. The main character is kind of frustrating though keeps making the same mistakes. I guess that's the point right character growth and all that. I'll keep going and let you know what I think when I finish. The way the author describes the setting makes me feel like I'm right there in that little coastal town. Have you read anything else by the same writer?

I started that new gardening project last weekend and honestly it was way more work than I thought it would be. I cleared out this patch in the backyard that was totally overgrown with weeds and vines. The soil underneath was actually pretty decent though so that was a relief. I mixed in some compost and got the first few rows planted with tomatoes basil and peppers. My back was killing me after but it felt really good to see everything laid out with the little markers and all. The neighbor came over and said it looked great which was nice. I'm hoping we get enough sun back there because some of the trees really block the afternoon light. I might have to trim a branch or two.
Anyway I also finally got around to cleaning out the garage like I told you I was going to. Found some old board games we used to play as kids and a bunch of holiday decorations I forgot we even had. The best find was this vintage camera that belonged to my uncle I think. It still has film in it which is wild. Not sure if the photos would be developable after all this time but I'm kind of curious to try. I set up a little shelf area with some of the cooler finds. Made the space feel more intentional rather than just a dumping ground for boxes and tools.
