I tried that pasta recipe you sent me and it turned out really well. I was a bit skeptical about the sauce because it seemed too simple but the flavors came together nicely. Next time I think I'll add a little more garlic and maybe some fresh basil on top. The key was letting it simmer long enough for the tomatoes to break down properly. I served it with some crusty bread and a simple salad on the side. Everyone at the table went back for seconds which is always a good sign. Let me know if you have any other recipes like that one because I'm really trying to cook more at home this month. It's been a nice way to unwind after work and I'm learning a lot as I go. The whole thing took about forty minutes from start to finish which felt manageable for a weeknight meal. I also found that adding a pinch of sugar helped balance the acidity in the sauce. I'll definitely make it again soon and maybe experiment with different herbs next time. vnawsLZvXZ Let me know what you think about trying it with a white wine base instead.

I finally finished that book we talked about and I have mixed feelings honestly. The first half was really engaging and I couldn't put it down but the pacing shifted in the second half and it lost some momentum for me. The characters were well developed though and I appreciated the way the author handled their relationships. There's a twist around chapter twelve that I didn't see coming at all which made me want to go back and reread earlier sections. I think you might enjoy it more than I did because the themes are right up your alley. I'd love to hear your take on the ending when you get there because I'm still not sure how I feel about it. Let me know when you start it and we can compare notes. I'm planning to start the next book on my list this weekend so I'll let you know how that one goes too. The weather has been perfect for reading on the porch in the afternoons and I've been trying to carve out at least thirty minutes a day for it.
