Hey, thanks for getting back to me about the trail conditions. I checked the map you sent and I think the loop around the lake should be fine as long as we start early. Did you see the latest update from the park service? They mentioned the north ridge path is still closed due to some fallen trees after the storm last week. Anyway, I was thinking we could pack a simple lunch and maybe stop at that little clearing near the old bridge. Let me know if you want to meet at the usual spot around 6 AM. I'll bring extra sunscreen and bug spray just in case. Also, I finally finished that book you recommended — the plot twist at the end really caught me off guard. We should chat about it on the drive. Bring your binoculars if you have them, I heard there's been some good bird activity near the marsh. See you Saturday.
