I finally tried making sourdough bread from scratch. It was quite a process because you have to feed the starter every day for a week before you can even bake. The first loaf came out a bit flat, but the taste was decent. I'm hoping the next one will have a better crumb structure. My neighbor gave me some tips on shaping the dough properly before it goes into the Dutch oven. It's surprisingly relaxing to work with dough, even when it gets a bit messy. I think I'll try adding some herbs or cheese to the next batch for variety. Anyway, that's what I've been up to recently! Hope all is well with you.
