Yeah I finally got around to trying that new Vietnamese place you mentioned and it was fantastic. The pho broth was so rich and aromatic, definitely the best I've had in the neighbourhood. We also tried the fresh spring rolls with that peanut dipping sauce and they were incredible. I've been thinking about going back all week. Let me know if you want to join next time, maybe we can go together and try a few more things on the menu. I heard their banh mi is also really good and the coffee there is supposed to be excellent too. Anyway just wanted to share my experience since you recommended it. Hope you're doing well and we should definitely catch up soon. The atmosphere was casual and welcoming and the staff were really friendly which made the whole experience even better. I think you would really enjoy it if you haven't been yet.

I finally finished reading that book you lent me last month and I really enjoyed it. The way the author developed the main character over the course of the story was really compelling and I found myself thinking about it long after I finished the last chapter. There were a few plot twists I didn't see coming which is always a nice surprise. I can see why you thought I would like it. I'll drop it off at your place this weekend if that works. Also I started looking into that other author you mentioned and picked up one of their books at the library so I'm curious to see how it compares. Thanks again for the recommendation I always trust your taste in books. The pacing was just right and the setting was vividly described without being overwhelming. Definitely one of the better novels I've read this year.
