Yeah I finally got around to trying that trail you told me about! It was definitely challenging but the view at the top made it all worth it. I spent a good hour up there just enjoying the scenery. The trail markers were a bit tricky around the midpoint though so I ended up taking a wrong turn and added some extra distance. Next time I'll definitely download a map beforehand. There's a nice little creek about three quarters up where you can cool your feet.

I saw a family of deer on the way down which was really cool. Let me know if you want to go again soon. I'd be happy to join you for a second attempt now that I know the route better. The weather was perfect too not too hot and just a light breeze at the summit. I packed way more water than I needed but better safe than sorry.

I finally finished that book you lent me and wow the ending caught me completely off guard. I really liked how the main character evolved throughout the story. I ended up reading way later than I should have on weeknights because I just couldn't stop. The author's descriptions were so vivid that I felt like I was right there in the setting.

Some parts in the middle dragged a little but the ending more than made up for it. I'm already looking into more books by the same author. It reminded me a lot of that other book we discussed at book club last year. I've heard the sequel is even better so I might check that out soon. Thanks again for recommending it.
