Hello!
The wait is over, the long-promised new version is ready and we’re going to deploy it on:
22.06.2026, 08:00 UTC
If all goes well, it should take roughly 2 hours. Below we’ve listed some things we wanted to share with you before next week.
spectator.earth becomes obsearth.com
Don’t tell anyone yet, but we decided that this new chapter deserves a better name, that’s why starting Monday, the app officially becomes Obsearth and will be available under the obsearth.com domain. Don’t worry about your old links/shortcuts/etc, all traffic will be redirected to the new domain and corresponding endpoints.
This is a complete rebuild of the platform
We’ve said it before and once deployed you’ll see for yourself, but this is a complete redesign and major improvement of what you’re used to. All your data will still be there, but in some cases may require some manual adjustment.
New API, but the old one still available
The new platform required a much improved API. If you prefer to stick to the old one it will still be available for some time. How long? We haven’t decided yet, but once we do, we’ll send you an email at least a couple of months in advance so that you can migrate gradually.
We’ll let you know once the deploy is done.
Talk soon,
Spectator Team
