I spent the morning looking over the garden layout we discussed. The soil temperature needs to be a bit warmer before we transplant the tomatoes directly. I was thinking we could start them in the smaller pots on the porch for another week or so. Also, I checked with the nursery and they have the basil and rosemary starters in stock now. Let me know if you want to grab some this weekend. I can probably fit around thirty plants in the raised bed if we space them well. We should also consider adding a drip irrigation system this year to make watering easier.

I finally had a chance to test out the new camping stove. It boils water much faster than the old one, which will be nice for morning coffee. The wind guard makes a big difference in efficiency. We'll need to pack light for the trip up to the lake, so I'm planning to bring dehydrated meals. Have you decided which trail you want to take to the ridge? I heard the views from the north side are spectacular this time of year. We should definitely bring binoculars. Let me know your thoughts on the route when you get a chance.
