I think I finally figured out that app you were telling me about. The interface is a bit confusing at first but once you get past the setup wizard it becomes much more intuitive. I spent about an hour playing around with the settings and now I can see why you like it so much. The notifications are actually useful and the dark mode is easy on the eyes. Let me know if you want to sync up and compare notes on the features we use most. I noticed there is a shared folder option that could work well for our group project. I have not tried it yet but looks promising. Also the search function works better than I expected. Overall good recommendation.
