I think the trail up to Eagle Peak is probably the better choice this weekend. The weather forecast looks clear and the views from the top should be amazing with all the fall colors coming in. I checked the trail status online and it said the path is in good condition right now so we shouldnt need any special gear. I was thinking we could start around 7am to beat the crowd and bring a packed lunch to eat at the summit. My brother said he did it last month and it took them about four hours round trip with a few breaks. Let me know if you want to carpool from my place since its on the way. Ive got room for three more if everyone fits. Also bring a light jacket because it got windy up there even in the afternoon. I can grab snacks for the drive if you want. Just shoot me a text later tonight so I know whos in and Ill finalize the plan. We can stop for coffee on the way out of town too.

I tried that new pasta recipe you sent me last week and it turned out really well. I added a bit more garlic than it called for and used fresh basil from the garden which made a huge difference. The sauce came together nicely and the whole thing only took about thirty minutes from start to finish. My partner went back for seconds so I think it passed the test. I did swap out the regular spaghetti for that chickpea pasta you mentioned and honestly I couldnt tell the difference. Next time I want to try it with some grilled chicken on top or maybe some mushrooms if we are keeping it vegetarian. I will definitely make it again for the next dinner we host. Thanks for sharing the link by the way I have been looking for quick weeknight meals that actually taste like something special.
