I think you're right about that movie we watched last weekend. I wasn't sure at first but after thinking about it more the ending really works. The director made some interesting choices with the lighting especially in the second act. My main criticism is that the pacing felt off in a few places but overall I enjoyed it more than I expected. Have you seen anything else by that director? I heard their earlier work is quite different in tone. Let me know if you want to check something out next Friday. I was thinking we could try that new place downtown for dinner first. They have a great selection of small plates and the atmosphere is supposed to be really nice. Anyway let me know what you think. I also wanted to ask if you've been following that documentary series about national parks. I watched the first three episodes and the cinematography is stunning. The episode on Yellowstone was particularly interesting because they showed geothermal activity I never knew existed. I think you'd enjoy it.

I finally finished reorganizing the bookshelf this morning and it looks so much better now. I sorted everything by genre and then alphabetically by author. It took way longer than I expected because I kept stopping to flip through old favorites. I found a copy of that book you lent me last year. I should return that soon. The gardening project is coming along nicely too. The tomatoes are starting to ripen and the basil is thriving. I think we'll have enough for a caprese salad by next week. Let me know if you want to come by and see the garden this weekend. I also finally figured out how to fix the coffee machine so that's a win. It was just a clogged filter nothing serious.
Anyway I also started reading that novel you mentioned. The prose is really dense but I'm getting into it. I'm about a hundred pages in and the plot is starting to pick up. I'll let you know what I think when I finish it. Hope you're having a good week.
