The weather has been so unpredictable lately, hasn't it? One day it's sunny and warm, and the next we're scrambling for jackets. We finally decided to go ahead and adopt a kitten from the local shelter. It's been a wild week, but seeing him explore the house is just pure joy. He's already claimed the sunny spot in the living room and has the most adorable little squeak instead of a proper meow. If you're thinking about getting a pet, I can't recommend adopting from a shelter enough. There are so many amazing animals looking for a good home. There's something incredibly satisfying about pulling a perfectly golden, crusty loaf out of the oven. The starter has become like a pet, needing regular feedings and care.
