Hey, I finally tried that trail you mentioned last month — the one off the old logging road near the ridge. Honestly, it was tougher than I expected. The elevation gain hits you pretty hard in the first mile, but once you break through the tree line, the view opens up across the whole valley. I stopped at the rocky outcrop about two-thirds of the way up and just sat there for twenty minutes. I didn't bring enough water, which was a mistake, but a couple I met on the way down shared some of theirs. I'm hoping to go back next weekend with better gear. You should come if you're free. I finally got around to trying that sourdough recipe you sent over. The starter took a full week to get bubbly enough, and my first loaf came out a little flat on one side, but the crust was actually perfect — golden and crackly. I added a bit of rosemary and sea salt on top, and it smelled incredible while baking. My roommate ate half of it before it even cooled.
