Hey there,
Thanks for reaching out about the hiking trip. I actually just got back from a long weekend in the Shenandoahs. The weather was perfect, not too humid, and the trails were surprisingly well-maintained. We did the Old Rag circuit, which was challenging but the 360-degree view from the top made every steep section worth it. I highly recommend going during the week if you can, because it gets absolutely packed on Saturdays. There's a great little brewery about 20 minutes from the main entrance called Blue Ridge Brews. Their seasonal IPA was fantastic. Let me know if you want me to send you our exact itinerary. We also brought a picnic lunch and found a great spot by a waterfall on the Cedar Run trail. Overall, it was the reset I desperately needed. Hope you guys have an amazing time if you end up going!

I finally tried out that Italian place downtown you were telling me about. You were right, the handmade pasta is on another level. I ordered the cacio e pepe, and it was so simple but perfectly executed. We sat at the bar and watched the chefs work, which was really entertaining. The service was a bit slow, but the food more than made up for it. We finished with a tiramisu that had a really unique coffee liqueur flavor. I think it's going to become a regular spot for us. Also, I saw that they have a Sunday brunch menu that looks incredible. Have you tried their brunch yet? We're planning to go back next weekend to sit on their patio. Anyway, just wanted to share my review! Hope you and the family are doing well.
