I finally got around to watching that documentary about deep sea creatures last night and I have to say it was way more fascinating than I expected. The footage of the bioluminescent jellyfish was just incredible and I learned that some species can actually regenerate their entire bodies from just a tiny fragment. My friend had been telling me to watch it for weeks and I kept putting it off but now I wish I had seen it sooner. The part where they showed the hydrothermal vents and the strange life forms that thrive in complete darkness really stuck with me. It is amazing how life finds a way even in the most extreme environments. I also loved the narrator's voice it was very calming and made the whole experience feel like a peaceful journey through the ocean. I might watch it again this weekend to catch some details I missed. I want to find more content like this maybe about volcanic islands or ancient forests. If you have any recommendations let me know.

Lowe's Home Improvement

I tried making sourdough bread from scratch this weekend and it turned out way better than I thought it would. I used a starter that my neighbor gave me which she has kept alive for over a decade and it had such a nice tangy flavor. The whole process took about two days from feeding the starter to shaping the loaves and then baking them in my dutch oven. The crust came out crispy and golden and the inside was soft with those lovely airy pockets that you see in bakery bread. I was so nervous about the scoring part because I have seen videos where people make beautiful decorative slashes but I just went with a simple cross and it looked fine. My family ate one whole loaf within an hour of it coming out of the oven with just butter and a little salt. I saved the second loaf for toast the next morning and it was still really good. I think I will try adding some herbs or maybe olives next time. If you have a good recipe I would love to try it.
