Regarding the garden planning for next weekend, I think we should focus on what grows well in partial shade since the backyard gets patches of sun throughout the day. I have been reading about companion planting and it seems like basil and tomatoes do really well together. If we set up three raised beds we can rotate crops each season to keep the soil healthy. Let me know if you want to go look at soil blends on Saturday morning. I can pick you up around nine and we can grab coffee on the way. The local nursery usually has a good selection of starter plants this time of year.
Also I wanted to ask if you have any extra stakes for the tomato cages. I think we will need at least a dozen if we plant that many. Let me know what you think about the layout I sketched. We can adjust based on what you have in mind.

I looked into the book club schedule for next month and it looks like we are meeting on the second Tuesday instead of the third because a few people have conflicts. The library meeting room is already reserved from six thirty to eight. We will be discussing the historical fiction pick about the pottery workshop in Provence. I thought the character development was really strong especially in the middle chapters.
