I think the camping trip sounds like a good plan for next month. We should check the weather closer to the date to make sure conditions are favorable. I have been looking at trail maps for the area and there are several routes that offer nice scenery without being too strenuous. If we leave early on Saturday morning we can get a good spot at the campground before it gets busy. Let me know if you want help gathering supplies or planning meals. I can bring the tent and some cooking equipment. We should also think about what activities we want to do while we are there.
I was also thinking we could stop at that bakery on the way for sandwiches and coffee. Their sourdough is really good and it would save us from having to pack a lunch for the first day. The renovation project is coming along well. We finished painting the living room last weekend and it looks much brighter now. The new flooring is scheduled to be installed next week which will really change the feel of the space. We are still deciding on furniture arrangements but I think we have some good options to work with. Once the floors are done we will move on to updating the kitchen backsplash. It has been a lot of work but the results are worth the effort. I am glad we decided to take this on.
Let me know if you want to come by and see the progress. I think you will be surprised by how different the room looks with the fresh paint and new floors. We still need to pick out a rug and some curtains but that can wait until after the flooring is installed.
