I finally started that gardening project we talked about last spring. The soil here is surprisingly clay-heavy, so I had to mix in quite a bit of compost and sand for the rose bushes. I picked up some lavender and rosemary too, because they're supposed to be drought-tolerant. My back is sore from digging, but it's a good kind of sore. Hopefully, by July, the garden will look presentable. I'll send you some photos once things start blooming. You'll have to come over for a barbecue once the patio is set up. Let me know if you have any tips for keeping the rabbits away!
