so i finally decided to repaint the living room. went with a warm gray instead of that beige. it was a lot of work honestly but it really changes the whole feel of the space. we spent the whole weekend moving furniture and taping edges. my back is killing me but its worth it. dtvBe1DGdf have you done any home projects lately? i also started looking into getting a new rug but havent found one yet. i want something that ties the room together but is also easy to clean - you know how it is with pets. anyway let me know what you think of the color next time you come over. i think it makes the wood floors pop a lot more than the old color did.

i started reading that book you recommended last week. the one about the hiking trail across europe. im only about a hundred pages in but so far its really engaging. the way the author describes the mountains makes you feel like youre right there. i love travel writing that actually makes you want to pack a bag immediately. i might look into getting a more comfortable pair of hiking boots though before i even think about doing something like that. my current ones are fine for day hikes on well maintained paths but nothing too intense. any recommendations on gear? also i need to start training my stamina if i ever plan a trip like that. maybe i will start with some longer weekend walks around the lake here to build up endurance.
