Yeah I finally did that trail we talked about last month. Got to the trailhead around 7 and it was already warm. The first two miles were pretty steep but after that it opened up into this meadow with wildflowers everywhere. We stopped for lunch by a small creek and just sat there for like an hour. Saw a deer on the way back down. The whole loop took about five hours. You were right about the bugs though. Next time I'll bring the spray. Anyway we should plan another trip soon maybe something overnight. 7NmfUEM4OCgopGV Let me know what weekend works for you. I picked up a new hammock and want to test it out somewhere with a view. The weather should hold for a few more weeks before it gets too cold.

I tried that pasta recipe you sent me last week. Turned out way better than I expected. I swapped the regular tomatoes for the cherry ones since that's what I had and added a bit more garlic because you know me. The sauce reduced nicely and the pasta absorbed just enough flavor. My partner asked where I learned it so I gave you full credit. We had it with a simple side salad and some bread. Definitely making it again. Let me know if you have other recipes like that one. I'm on a roll with cooking lately and trying new things. The farmers market had some really good basil so I used that fresh. Made a big difference honestly. Next time I might try adding a pinch of red pepper flakes for a little heat.
