The trail conditions should be ideal next weekend if the forecast holds. We can start at the lower parking area and take the eastern path up to the ridge. It adds about a mile but the incline is more manageable for everyone. The weather has been dry so the streams might be low, but there is a reliable spring about halfway. I will bring the water filter just in case. We should finalize the group count by Thursday so we can arrange the carpool. Let me know if that timeline works for you.

The chapters covering the post-war period really put the city's current layout into perspective. I did not realize how much of the zoning policy was shaped during that decade. The author uses municipal records to track the decisions, which makes the analysis quite grounded. It is dense in places but the narrative flows well. I think it pairs nicely with the documentary series we watched last month. There is a section on infrastructure that echoes some of the same points. I will share the highlighted passages once I am done with the chapter.
