A special edition celebrating 10 years of Tanuki. Inspired by Ruth Asawa, whose art grew from close observation, simple materials, and tireless experimentation. Asawa worked with wire and paper, with lines, forms, and everything they could become. She saw no limitation in little material, but a beginning. Many of her works feel as if they are still in motion. As if they had only just begun to change the space around them. The motif of the ASAWA collection is called Dancers: moving figures, translated onto the Tanuki, bag, and sock. So the motif never stands still in everyday life. It comes into motion and carries the art forward. Every day. With every step: make art move.
