I finally got around to watching that documentary about deep ocean exploration. It was absolutely fascinating how much of the ocean floor remains unmapped and unexplored. The footage of bioluminescent creatures was stunning and I had no idea some of those species even existed. My friend who recommended it said it changed how they think about conservation and I can see why. The scientists interviewed really drove home how little we still know about our own planet. nss61PTfQYgXerc I watched it over two evenings because there was so much information to absorb. It made me want to read more about marine biology honestly. If you have any book recommendations along those lines let me know. I might try to find more content on similar topics. The whole production quality was top notch and the narration was very engaging. Definitely worth the time I spent on it.

I tried making that new pasta recipe you sent over and it turned out really well. I was a bit nervous because I usually mess up sauces but this one came together nicely. I added a little extra basil since I had some fresh from the garden. The whole dish took about forty minutes from start to finish which felt reasonable for a weeknight dinner. My family said it was one of the better meals I've made lately so I'll take that as a win. I served it with a simple side salad and some garlic bread. Leftovers heated up nicely the next day too which is always a bonus in my house. I might try adding some mushrooms next time to give it more texture. Let me know if you have any other recipes you think I should attempt. I'm trying to cook more from scratch this year and so far it's been going okay.
